Hallo Dr. SuSE,
danke für die Antwort.
Habe wie in Antwort 6 vorgegeben den Kernel 2.6.31.5 installiert, aber trotzdem keinen Erfolg. Muss ich bei WLAN für den Atheros-Chip noch einen zusätzlichen Treiber laden? Es ist ein COMPAQ-Laptop mit einem gesoderten Aktivierungsschaleter für das Internet.
In der Version 11.1 lief es über Madwifi und immer manuell Anmelden über NetworkManager (dann ohne Schalter).

Hallo, habe den gleichen Chip, musst wohl beim starten den wlan-knopf so 10 sekunden gedrückt halten, ich nehme an die suse hat nen splashscreen, den hab ich nicht.
also, nachdem suse bootet 3 sek warten und dann den wlan-knopf 10 sek lang drücken.

also dann weiß ich auch nicht weiter ???

hier noch die angaben, der kernel ist ziemlich neu, ging aber vor nem jahr auch schon mit nem älteren kernel....
