Apple will laut einem Focus Bericht ab 2009 auch eigene GPS Auto Navigationssysteme unter anderem für Mercedes produzieren. Diese sollen neben der Navigation auch Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten bieten. Ein Beispiel so einer Entertainment-Kooperation hat Apple bereits mit BMW gezeigt: In den BMW Modellen ab 2002 lassen sich Apples iPods integrieren und auch über das Audiosystem steuern:
Once your vehicle is enabled, you’ll have control over what you hear and when you hear it. The interface is easy to use, and the sound quality you’ll get from your BMW’s audio system is outstanding. You’ll even be able to scroll through songs and adjust the volume from your steering wheel.

Interessant wäre es aber schon. Machbar sicher auch. Nur warum soll Apple jetzt auch noch Navis machen? Eigentlich sind sie mit ihrer bisherigen Strategie gut gefahren. Warten wir ab!
