In einer angeblichen PayPal Email werden die Leser aufgefordert, nach einem angeblichen mißglückten Login-Versuch, sich aus Sicherheitsgründen erneut mit Usernamen und Passwort einzuloggen, damit Paypal die Nutzerdaten verifizieren kann. Mit den so gesammelten Zugangsdaten können Kriminelle die Paypal Konten leeren, oder für andere Aktivitäten missbrauchen.
