Cron Problem

Hello
We have SUSE 8? and I'm trying to start a job with the cron...It doesn't work

In process list /usr/sbin/cron is there.

crontab line is

0 18 * * 1-5 /xxxxxx/yyyyyy/job_name

anyboby got any ideas

Hi,

may you can tell me, whicht timestamp do you want to use.

Daily or weekly or mothly or exspecial dates.

Also be aware that the script name is executable.

It was a general "zugriffs" problem in the crontab system!!

Why.......dont ask me the system was standard massig installed

Hi,

Where ist the user of this cron job?

us root - user

crontab -e


0 18 * * 1-5 /xxxxxx/yyyyyy/job_name

#EOF

then is one file "root" under
/var/spool/cron/root

and the file "job_name" must have u+a (0700)

and then restart of the cron deamon
