PQV2i.sys für Drive Image

Hallo,

ich hab das gleiche Problem.
Die System Datei ist da, aber es kommt immer diese Fehlermeldung.
Unter Win2k hatte ich das Problem nicht, nur unter XP.
Versuche schon seit 2 Wochen das Problem zulösen, wäre über jede Hilfe sehr dankbar.

Update des pqv2i.sys drivers eigentlich aus da es in seiner
Modernisierten Fassung um ca.30K größer ist.Ich versuche gerade es herunterzuladen.Falls ich es bekommen sollte.Sende ich es Dir gerne über e-mail

Sorry der Anhang:

1. Make sure you have updated to Drive Image 7.01. This is available as a download from our web site.
2. Stop the V2i Protector service.
3. Locate the PQV2I.sys file in the C:\winnt\system32\drivers directory.
4. Make a copy of the original PQV2I.sys file.
5. Delete the original PQV2i.sys file and replace with the new PQV2i.sys file.
6. Reboot the machine.

abe die Treiber erhalten.Und so wie gesagt brauch nur
der pqv2i.sys treiber ersetzt werden.Und das Problem

Hallo, ich habe das problem bei WinXP Home und Norton Ghost 9.0. nachdem ich auf den Treiber ein Update gemacht habe, ist das problem wie vorher, auch neuinstallieren des programmes nützt nichts.
Wer kann helfen?

Problem (April 12, 2005):

The following error occurs on a Windows XP SP2 server with the latest Windows Updates in combination with Norton Ghost 9.0 (also with the latest updates) when trying to backup the Windows-partition (C-Drive):

An error occurred creating a backup of drive C:\. The Virtual Volume Imaging driver (pqv2i.sys) is not present on the system.Error EC8F000C: Cannot find the Virtual Volume Image driver. Error 00000002: The system cannot find the file specified

Other info:
- This DELL-machine initially had Norton Internet Security (NIS) 2005 installed on it, which was removed through Add/Remove programs. However, obviously some components of NIS remained on the system, since uninstalling LiveReg produced an error message ‘Please uninstall NIS first’, in spite of the fact that NIS had already been removed !



Cause:
I couldn’t exactly put my finger on it, however this seemed to be an error related to Data Execution Prevention – shorthand DEP (A Windows XP Memory Protection technology built into SP2), either during Norton Ghost 9.0 installation, configuration, LiveUpdate or the use of Norton Ghost 9.0.



Solution:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Only use this solution if you do not have any other Symantec software  on your system that could be affected and you would like to retain on the system.

The exact steps followed which solved this problem (for me at least) were:
1. Changed C:\boot.ini. Replaced any ‘/NoExecute <option>’ occurrances by ‘/Execute’ so that DEP is disabled in Windows XP
2. Restarted machine
3. Uninstalled Norton Ghost 9.0
4. Uninstalled LiveUpdate 2.0
5. Tried to Uninstall LiveReg -> Error is produced stating that in order to uninstall LiveReg, Norton Internet Security (NIS) must be removed first.
6. Restarted machine
7. Downloaded SymNRT.exe from Symantec using the following hyperlink. This utility removes any NIS remains still on the system. Please note that after running SymNRT.exe, LiveReg was also successfully removed.

8. Restarted machine
9. Install LiveUpdate 2.0 (it is present on the Ghost 9.0 CD-ROM). This step COULD possibly be unneccessary for you since LiveUpdate is supposed to be installed at step 8 as well. However, for me, it proved to be necessary to do it in this exact order.
10. Install Ghost 9.0
11. Restarted machine
12. Open Ghost 9.0 and run LiveUpdate (in the Help menu) in order to update Ghost 9.0 to the latest version.
13. Restarted machine
14. After trying to backup the Windows-partition (in my case this is C), the problem has now disappeared and I can now perform a backup successfully, either on-demand or scheduled using a Backup Task !  I’ll let you know if this solution proves to be a viable STRUCTURAL solution (in other words: Whether or not the problem re-appears or not in the short future)
