Vorsicht ist geboten bei dieser gefälschten Email. Seit heute morgen ist eine Email im Umlauf, die angeblich von den Vertreibern des beliebten Online-Rollenspiels World of Warcraft geschickt wurde. In dieser Email wird behauptet, dass die Betreiber des Onlinespiels herausgefunden haben, dass man seinen Account verkaufen möchte. Um eine Account-Löschung zu verhindern, muss man sich über die Webseite einloggen und seine persönlichen Accountdaten eingeben. Desweiteren wird gewarnt, dass, wenn man diese Mail ignoriert, automatisch gelöscht wird.
Die beigefügte URL ist aber eine gefälschte und führt nicht zur offiziellen Seite von Blizzard Entertainment. Daher wurde diese bereits gesperrt. Diese Nachricht gehört zu den so genannten Phishing-Emails und soll dem Empfänger dazu verleiten, Kontakt- und Logindaten preiszugeben. Oft werden danach die Accounts anderweitig missbraucht. Häufig können so auch Viren auf den PC landen.
Der Inhalt dieser gefälschten Email lautet:
Dear customer,
It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal World of Warcraft account(s). As you may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement. If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be ongoing for further investigation by Blizzard Entertainment’s employees.
If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account ownership.
