Das mit der Norton Firewall ist schon ok.
Belaste das System mal, so das die Auslastung bei 100 % liegt und der PC zur Schnecke wird. Prüfe jetzt, wo die Last liegt und speichere das ganze wieder.

bei dem programm process explorer cpu nimmt system Idle Process meist zwischen 80 und 95 ein (prozentangabe?) wenn auslastung hoch, auch steigt auch die hardware interrupts rate stark an, während dann der Idle process nicht mehr angezeigt wird! ich blicke nicht so ganz durch... kannst du weiter was draus erkennen?

Wurde der Belastungstest mit Ad-Aware ausgeführt, denn zu diesen Zeitpunkt betrug CPU Auslastung ca. 90 %?

ja, belastungstest mit adaware durchgeführt. hätte auch winamp oder irgendein anderes proggi laufen lassen können.... die von dir aufgelisteten prozesse brauche ich für meinen internetzugang. könnte sie aber mal deinstallieren, kann sie danach ja wieder draufmachen, meinst du, das könnte was bringen?

sooo, danke "help" für deine vielen versuche, ich habe das system jetzt aber neu aufgesetzt, es war so weniger arbeit denke ich. ich hoffe, es läuft wieder alles!
