Welchen RAM brauche ich für meinen PC (RAM funktioniert nicht)?

Hallo,

Ich hatte bisher 2x 512MB in meinem PC verbaut. Nun möchte ich mir bald Windows 7 kaufen und brauch ja mindestens 2GB Arbeitsspeicher, daher habe ich mir einen 2GB RAM-Riegel gekauft. Wenn ich meinen PC nun starte (mit dem neuen Riegel) bootet mein PC nicht - Woran könnte das liegen?

Und wie kann ich rausfinden welcher RAM-Riegel der richtige für mein Mainboard ist?
